Marrone warned of “elevated critical fire weather conditions” lasting through Wednesday. A red flag warning is in effect as dry vegetation and strong winds fuel rapid fire spread. Evacuation orders affect 105,000 residents, while 87,000 remain in evacuation warning zones. Firefighters have made progress, with the Eaton Fire now 27% contained, while the Hurst Fire is 89% under control and the Kenneth Fire is fully contained.
