Rubio also tells the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that the U.S.'s “unbalanced relationship” with China is the "biggest threat" to American prosperity. Florida Attorney Pam Bondi, nominated for U.S. Attorney General in the Trump Administration, says at her Senate confirmation hearing that she would "get back to the basics, gangs, drugs, terrorists, cartels, our border, and our foreign adversaries." Democratic Senators on the Judiciary Committee ask Pam Bondi about resisting any Trump White House demands and her past advocacy of overturning Donald Trump's loss in the 2020 presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris speak at the National Action Network's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. legislative breakfast about the Los Angeles wildfire and misinformation on aid available. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) says she wants to work with President-elect Trump on economic policy and "compromise" is not a bad word. The Supreme Court hears a case challenging a Texas law requiring age verification to access pornographic websites as a violation of the free speech rights of adults.
