Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tells the United Nations General Assembly that Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to attack nuclear power plants in Ukraine and warns of catastrophic consequences if the world allows that to happen. FAA Administrator Michael Whitaker tells a Senate subcommittee that safety culture reforms at aircraft company Boeing will take years, but they are moving in the right direction with FAA oversight. And the Speaker promises the House will not approve a single, massive bill to fund the entire government in December, what he calls a "Christmas omnibus". The Justice Department sues Visa, alleging the company has an illegal monopoly over the U.S. debit card market. Donald Trump in a speech in Savannah, Georgia, promises companies low taxes and fewer regulations if make goods in the U.S, and high tariffs if they do not. The CEO of the Novo Nordisk testifies at a Senate committee hearing on the high price of its weight loss drug Ozempic. Retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre testifies before a House Committee that he did not know that money he received from a nonprofit in Mississippi to help build a sports facility at his college alma mater came from federal welfare funds that should have gone to families in need. A statue of the late singer Johnny Cash is unveiled in the U.S. Capitol.
