President says he wants California to take two actions before the state received federal disaster aid: implement voter ID requirements and change water management to make more water available to LA. Vice President JD Vance tells the annual anti-abortion "March for Life" rally in Washington, DC, “Our country faces the return of the most pro-family, most pro-life American president of our lifetimes" The Senate is on a path to confirm Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth tonight and could be in session this weekend to confirm Homeland Security Secretary nominee Kristi Noem. Senate Democrats are using all the time available under the rules to delay confirmation votes on nominees they oppose but do have the votes to stop. President Trump has signaled he will refuse to spend money already authorized by Congress… a practice called 'impoundment', even though there is a law that forbids it.
