Ahmad, a child born with a ventricular septal defect (VSD) and in urgent need of a pacemaker replacement, was successfully evacuated from #Gaza on 12 September 2024.
He is one of 97 patients transferred to the UAE in what was the largest medical evacuation since October 2023 for specialized, life-saving care. Many others, like Ahmad, see their lives at risk while waiting to be transferred outside Gaza.

Christopher Sawyer had abdominal pain that, within a few days, became so severe he could not get out of bed. Doctors thought it was from a tumor in his stomach, but emergency surgery revealed that Sawyer had testicular cancer that had spread.
