It's the fourth recall of Ridgeline trucks in 2024
Honda is recalling as many as 187,290 of its Ridgeline pickup trucks manufacturedfrom Nov.2019 to April 2024, citing how the rearview camera can stop working.
"The rearview camera (RVC) tailgate wire harness may fatigue and break, which can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying,"Honda said Monday, adding that the issue can increase the risk of a crash.
This is the Japanese automaker's fourthrecall for its Ridgeline trucks this year, and 35threcall since 2010, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's database. The 2024 Honda Ridgeline has a safety rating of five stars from the NHTSA.
Honda has recalled an average of around 1.4 millionvehicles every year since 1968, coming below the average of 1.5 millionvehicles from top-selling Japanese carmaker Toyota.
