This marks the retailers 10th Prime Day sales event
On the heels of its first Big Spring Sale, and following the announcement of its thirdPet Day Sale, Amazon is officially bringing back Prime Day this summer.
The company announced that Prime Day will officially return inJuly. While the official dates havent yet been announced, this marks Amazons 10th Prime Day sales event.
We are working hard to pack even more great savings into the event this year, the company wrote in a statement. Members will also be able to take advantage of deep discounts and get their shopping done early for back-to-school supplies, avoiding the lines and enjoying the convenience of fast, free shipping through Prime.
We know our members love savings, and we work hard to bring deals on new and popular brands you can only shop on Amazon for this years event.
Preparing for the sale
Amazon has followed a similar protocol with Prime Day over the last several years. The 48-hour, mid-week sale gives Prime members access to deals in virtually every category of the store: Amazon devices, hair care, home essentials, food, clothes, furniture, and more.
The company saidthat Prime members saved over $2.5 billion on millions of Prime Day sales during last years sales events.
This year, Prime Day will reachAustralia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S., and the U.K.
To make the most of the Prime Day deals, consumers must be Amazon Prime members. New members can get a 30-day free trial in time for Prime Day.
For existing Prime members, the retailer is likely to share early Prime Day deals ahead of the official sales event, as its done in years past.
For shoppers who want to stay on top of their Amazon favorites, you can set up alerts in the app to receive notifications on price drops and exclusive deals that are geared towards your preferences during Prime Day.
